My Editing Philosophy
Writing and helping others have always been two of my favorite activities. I’ve found that editing is the perfect way to put the two together!
I believe in fostering a conversational author-editor partnership and prioritizing the author’s goals. A right vs. wrong editing style leaves little room for the author’s personal style, so I strive to provide authors with options for revision, rather than rewriting their work for them. This requires a lot of discussion about the author’s intentions, which is why initial and follow-up meetings are always included in my editing services.
Affordability is also something I prioritize. I’m typically open to editing shorter sections of a larger work or editing multiple drafts over a longer timeline. Let me know any constraints or concerns you have.
Ultimately, I hope to help authors and poets create a product they love. If you are interested in working with me, you can reach me on my contact page. Please specify what type of service I can provide for you along with a short synopsis of your project. I’d love to hear from you!
